Experience a Scuba Diving Oasis

Sample New Zealand's finest on a diving vacation you will never forget!

GAMESAIL caters for the novice to experienced diver. We have six full sets of Dive gear, an underwater scooter and compressor on board with a qualified Dive Master ready to take you on the underwater experience of a lifetime.

Generous daily catch limits
New Zealand Diving is truly a unique experience because, unlike most other places in the world, we have generous daily catch limits for scallops and crayfish as well as clean, easily accessible waters.  This makes for some fabulous feasting on your fresh catch each day.  You will enjoy learning to prepare the seafood, as well as sharing some of our special family recipies.

In addition to the hunting and gathering, there are also wonderful scenic and wreck dives in the Bay of Islands, Poor Knights, Mokohinaus and  Great Barrier Island.  Read our diving vacation itinerary for some vacation ideas.

The water temperature is around 19 - 20 degrees celsius in December, and rises through summer to about 22-23 degrees in the late summer (March - April).  We wear 5 millimetre wetsuits, and the hoods are optional.  Andy and Lauren in the photo to the right, live in Hawaii, so found them useful!

Most of our favourite dive spots are also suitable for snorkelling, which is a fun and easy way to experience the underwater beauty of New Zealand.
